Some dishes are served with onion and garlic? Not suitable for oriental vegetarians?

I like the atmostphere there & ok with onion & garlic since I am more for plant-based food than religious reason. Thought they indicated clearly dishes with onion & garlic ? But you are right, usually only some Indian veg restaurants use onion & garlic, may be next time drop in will find out why, curious lah :)

Going vegetarian is really not an easy thing for me to do. Recently I opted for vegetarian cooking and ending up having body ache although I add a lot of ginger in my vegetable. Last night I ate soup with toufo and vegetable, today I have neck problem. I think I have to change slowly and not immediately, right?

Dear Anonymous,
Thanks for the feedback.

Loving Hut in Bandar Puteri Puchong is a plant-base diet cafe house, hence onion and garlic may be used in certain dishes, however those dishes are indicated in the menu.

It serves with wholesome vegan ingredients, offering an accessible starting point for those making the noble transition to a plant-based diet.

Food are all served free of animal ingredients (vegan).

Many are misled into thinking that our body need a lot of protein. Most people took too much & when they turn vegetarians end up consuming even more protein to replace the animal protein. This is bad for the body. Pls read "Diet for a New American" written by John Robbin. It explains with scientific proof how plant-based foods help to avoid different kinds of sickness, and the right way to go veg. You can purchase online via Amazon.com or from some of the bookshops in Malaysia. You can also surf internet to look for the info. or call a local NGO Lapis Lazuli Light on Sat & Sun 03-51625911 to find out more info.

I started veg in 1997, I was one who used to have skin problem, serious sinusitis, frequent food poisoning as I was a seafood lover, headache etc, meaning I was not in good health, & a pack of Panadol was a must in my handbag at all time in those days. I used to contribute a lot to the doctors:), but stopped such contribution :) 2 years after going into vegetarian. I supposed the 1st 1 or 2 yrs was the adjusting period. I am a happy vegetarian now who save a lot on medical fee besides other benefits I received.

My advice is to opt more for fresh & original plant-based food, at times a bit of raw food, & try to avoid processed veg products, but be relaxed & don't need to go extreme and go on hunger strike when you were served only processed veg product :)

The most important thing I supposed is to appreciate your food & be grateful to those who guide you into vegetarianism that you do not involve in indirect killing anymore, & exercise regularly.

Many scientific researches proved that human digestive system is meant for consuming plant-based food. Our physical body is an amazing tool and the best doctor you will ever meet in your life ‘coz it has self-healing power. We must value it and feed it with the right food, and treat your body like a temple of God, feed it with compassion food minus slaughtering, and it will reward you with healthy life.

Hope this helps. CHEERS !!

Dear body ache Anonymous,

For your information..Toufo have +/-(25%!) of protein per weight; and Gluten (veg chic/Veg meat) have +/- (70%!)of protein per weight, compare to pork/meat which have only +/- (13%). I agreed with you that you should go on new balance of diet such as : unpolished rice with vegetables and very few amount of toufo /gluten (say 2pcs per day*)OR ELSE too many protein will end up with large amount of Uric Acid in your body and give you acidic ache. Actually vege meal is rather cheap & save money know,,,especially in recession period #It safe your selves & Animals life. One stone 2 birds!# CHEERS!
